New First Year Hub Is A Success!
In addition to our robust fall programming, the Office of the First Year put on a weekly series of First Year Hub events. Each Tuesday the Office of the First Year was stationed outside between the Z Center and the Student Center (or in 7-103 when it was cold) to meet with first-year students, connect them to resources and different offices, and create an environment where they could learn about how not only to survive in their first year here, but to truly thrive. We had campus partners from CAPD, DSL, OME, and more join us for our weekly hubs. Each week, we stamped students’ punch cards, and once a student received 4 stamps, they were entered to win a raffle. We had over 400 student turn in completed cards, showing a guaranteed 1,600 touch points with students!
