As new employees begin their new jobs, we want them to feel informed, supported, and prepared to handle their responsibilities. Supervisors play the primary role in training and orienting new hires. Below is a general guide with the steps OVC supervisors (or in some instances their designee) should take to ensure our new hires get off to a good start and become integral contributors as quickly as possible. Individual OVC offices may have additional expectations concerning the role of the supervisor in the orientation of new hires.
