ISO Welcomes Alison Day to the Staff

Alison Day is the newest addition to the ISO team, joining us as the new assistant director for operations and advising on February 22, 2021.

Alison has worked in the field of international education and exchange since 2014, serving most recently as an assistant director/foreign student and scholar advisor in the Office of International Education at Carnegie Mellon University, and previously as international student and scholar advisor at the University of North Dakota.

Alison was born and raised just outside the Bay Area of California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from California State University, Stanislaus. She also holds a Master of Arts in international communications from Leeds University, United Kingdom, and a master of arts in history from Newcastle University, United Kingdom. Alison’s love of travel and learning about other cultures began during her college study abroad experiences in Scotland, England, and Mexico. This developed into a vast appreciation of the globe and the “global village” it has become, taking her all over the world. Needless to say, the list of places she wants to visit is endless.

At MIT, Alison will oversee our continued development of ISO operations, while also serving as the ISO advisor point-of-contact for a number of programs in the MIT Sloan School of Management. Alison is excited about joining the ISO team and the MIT community. A few of her favorite things include: travel, coffee, and animals. She is the proud owner of a rescue pup named Einstein and she cannot wait to experience everything MIT and Cambridge have to offer. Please feel free to reach out to Alison!

Advising Cohort: Graduate students in MIT Sloan, specifically the MBA, MFin, Master of Management, and PhD programs.
