The Graduate Student Experience

Although it is still being defined, an effort to improve the graduate student experience is underway. It is a response to the changing realities of graduate education, especially in light of expanded opportunities after MIT.

In addition, many graduate students have different concerns than undergraduates; they may feel less visible on campus, have to juggle work-life-family issues, and struggle to balance research and teaching with pursuing professional development and other opportunities outside of the lab.

In short, how do we help graduate students find more balance and improve their quality of life?
