In March, the Office of the First Year (OFY) selected 80 undergraduate students to serve as 2019 Orientation Leaders (OLs), 12 of whom will act in the newly defined Captain role. Over the summer, Captains will work remotely with OFY staff to make improvements to Orientation Leader training and overall programming.
During our training on April 23, OLs broke into small groups to brainstorm creative ways to increase first-year attendance and engagement during Orientation. This year, we will implement a color war between flags to boost spirit during the week!
We can’t wait to meet the Class of 2023 in August!
